Vodafone staff offered a voluntary redundancy to call centre workers in New Zealand.

200 New Zealand Vodafone staff members have been offered voluntary redundancy.

The Unite Union says around 50 – 200 staff members have been offered voluntary redundancy, these members are from a call centre in New Zealand. Unite organiser Shirley Wang says around 200 frontline contact staff are involved in this offer. They have stated that many would be likely to take the offer due to being uncertain about their future employment with the company.
Vodafone are currently going under major restructure, a spokeswoman said New Zealand employees were offered the opportunity to take voluntary redundancy on the 14th of February 2019.
