With computers and mobile computing devices becoming mainstream comes the ever increasing threat of hackers and other malicious viruses gaining access to your personal information.
Most people think they are safe because they have a free anti-virus program installed (AVG, Avast etc). In most cases this is not true, while these programs do a very good job of protecting your system, they only provide basic protection.
With most free programs there is no Email Protection, Link Protection (for web sites known to be the source of infection), Personal Data Protection. Another big one is Internet Banking (Most banks have a clause in there agreement with you that it is YOUR responsibility to ensure you are taking necessary steps to secure your computer / device).
With the explosion of new viruses, hacks, key loggers, exploits etc coming out we need to be ever vigilant in keeping our computers / devices secure.
